Easysoft Data Access (EDA) for Zortec SystemZ is a solution offered by Easysoft Ltd that allows ODBC access to C/DISAM files used by Zortec applications on Windows and UNIX platforms from ODBC compliant applications. The Solution is made up of three Easysoft products. The Easysoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge provides connection between the client machine and the server. The Easysoft ODBC-SQI SQL Engine parses and refines queries utilising the native ISAM indexes to speed up file access. The Easysoft SQI-Zortec System Z Driver handles file access to the ISAM files themselves reading the file definitions from the Easysoft schema file set. The schema file set is created by reading the DD.dat. SYNONYM & PN files that SystemZ uses to create the ISAM files. Utilizing the native SystemZ definitions the solution provides seamless access to your Zortec data files without the headache of defining the files definitions manually.
