Easysoft Data Access

What is the structure of Usernames and Passwords within Easysoft?

When Easysoft is first installed, or a new user is added, Easysoft creates a CATALOG Username and Password and a CODA Username and Password from the existing CODA-IAS Username.

For example, if the CODA-IAS Username is JOHN and the Password is GoodMorning. The Easysoft Catalog will then contain the following information:

Catalog Username =JOHN
Catalog Password = JOHN
CODA Username = JOHN
CODA Password = JOHN

In order to access the CODA-IAS data successfully, the passwords have to be changed within the Easysoft Catalog. (Please note that changing the CODA Password is essential to access CODA (use the CODAUSER routine), however, changing the Catalog password is optional. But we do recommend that it is changed to match your CODA password for ease of use (CATUSER routine).)

The Catalog Username and Password are entered into the Data source on the PC, (the CODA Username and Password stored within the catalog and are never seen).
