Easysoft JDBC-ODBC Bridge

Why am I having intermittent problems with a particular ODBC driver?

Some ODBC drivers are not thread-safe and by default the JOB Server for Windows runs multi-threaded. This can give rise to a whole host of intermittent and peculiar errors. You should make the JOB Server run in multi-process mode, so that there is only ever one thread at a time in the ODBC driver.

To make the JOB Server run multi-process instead of multi-threaded open up the JDBC-ODBC Web Administrator:

http://my_server:8031

Select the Configuration screen and then click Change. Before the Change screen loads you will have to enter the Administrative user that you entered on install. Check the multi-process box and click Submit to save the change.

Drivers we have encountered that it is best to set the JOB server to run multi-process for are Microsoft Access, Freedom Intelligence and Navision.
